PAPER LEAF SWEATSHIRT

The objective of this project was to design an illustration for the back of a sweatshirt with the intention of this being given to Paper Leaf employees for their annual Christmas party. They wanted a dynamic illustration so that employees would want to wear it year-round (not just at Christmas). After brainstorming with Anne Brown and Paper Leaf’s designers, we decided on the concept of a Where’s Waldo style illustration that was filled with Paper Leaf inside jokes.

We wanted the illustration style to be fairly simple so that all of the easter eggs could fit into it without being too overwhelming to look at. A simple, two colour style was ultimately decided on since it was decided that the sweatshirt would only be printed in two colours. It was also decided that the illustration would be printed on navy sweatshirts since blue fits into Paper Leaf’s brand colours.
